Prestige Insurance Holdings is thrilled to have been awarded the Silver Diversity Mark Accreditation by Diversity Mark NI for its commitment and on-going investment in equality, diversity and inclusion, with special focus on championing gender, age and LGBTQ+ diversity.
The Diversity Mark is awarded to companies following an independent assessment process which ensures they have reached the required standard of commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion. It is a ‘Mark of Progress’ that publicly declares that a company is committed to building a more diverse and inclusive workplace to benefit all employees.
The award has been granted to all businesses within the Prestige Holdings Group including AbbeyAutoline, Prestige Underwriting Services, Prestige Underwriting Services (Ireland), Covernet, Stroll, Customer Claims Assist Limited, Octane London Markets and Reliable Vehicle Solutions.
Trevor Shaw, Group CEO shared his pride and delight in all the businesses for the key role they have played in helping the Group receive the Silver Diversity Mark:
“At Prestige Insurance Holdings we have always been fully committed to achieving gender equality, diversity and inclusion in our workplace. In 2022, we were delighted as a Group of businesses to achieve the first step on our journey when we were awarded the Bronze Diversity Mark. We have been committed to working towards the Silver accreditation ever since.
We have been steadfast in our determination to showcase our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion with regards to gender, age and LGBTQ+. Led by our Better Together Programme and our Diversity and Inclusion Champions, we have developed a clear strategy and plan supported by our ED+ I statement. We have already invested in and developed various initiatives and training aimed at raising awareness across the business, championing ED+I. In addition, we invested in our Group Academy programme to ensure everyone across the Prestige Group has opportunities to develop themselves, no matter what stage of their career.
In line with our strategy for further enhancements and improvements, we are currently reviewing all policies to ensure they are all inclusive and reflective of our commitments to diversity and inclusion. We are also in the process of developing additional inclusion action plans and we will be investing in additional schemes and mentoring programmes.
Our Values define what we believe in as a Group of businesses and how, as a core part of our strategic foundation, our people strive to deliver. Our pledge to “Respect and Integrity” highlights our commitment to treating people with kindness, dignity and professionalism, building trust through responsible actions and honest relationships. Achieving the Silver Accreditation is a tremendous reaffirmation of this ethos and we look forward to working together as a Group of businesses to achieve more in the future.”
